Dr. Andrew Cheung completed his  undergraduate studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas, in 1997. He received his dental degree from The University of Michigan in 2001 and completed postdoctoral training in a hospital-based General Practice Residency in 2002, followed by an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency from The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville in 2006.  Dr. Cheung is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Gratis Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, a guest lecturer for the University of Tennessee Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and University General Dentistry (General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville). He maintains a private practice with Oral Surgery Specialists of Tennessee and has specific interests in office-based dentoalveolar and implant surgery, navigation/guided surgery and associated emerging technology. Dr. Cheung and his surgical partners at OSST have been asked to co-author a few chapters in the Fonseca Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery textbook and have published articles in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
